NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE

Users of the Website as a Whole

“Non-Personally-Identifying Information” is information that cannot be immediately linked to a specific individual without the use of additional information. “Personally-Identifying Information,” on the other hand, is data like a name or an email address that can be linked to a specific individual without extra information. SKRILL & CO., like other website operators, collects Non-Personally-Identifying Information of the type that web browsers, depending on their settings, may make available from users of the website. As more clearly detailed above, that information includes the User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system, browser type, and the locations of the websites the User visits shortly before arriving at, while navigating through, and immediately after leaving the Website. SKRILL & CO. may be able to ascertain a User’s Internet service provider and the geographic location of the visitor’s point of connectivity, as well as other statistical use statistics, from an IP address, even though it is not Personally-Identifying Information. SKRILL & CO. may examine Non-Personally-Identifying Information collected from Website Users in order to better understand how the Website is utilized. SKRILL & CO. can better build the Website to improve Users’ experiences, both in terms of content and simplicity of use, by recognizing patterns and trends in usage. SKRILL & CO. may, from time to time, distribute aggregated Non-Personally-Identifying Information collected from Website Users, such as by producing a report on Website usage patterns.

User-Generated Content

As indicated in our Terms & Conditions, we may collect some User Content.

Automatically Collected Information.

Our systems automatically record some information about the devices you use to access to our Website and your usage of the Website, such as:

Log data. When you browse or use our Website, our servers automatically gather data and store it in log files, just like other websites and technology services offered over the internet. The IP address, browser type and settings, date and time of usage, information about browser setup, language choices, and cookie data are all examples of log data.

Usage information. This is data about the Website and how you interact with it. To assess how Users use our Website, we may additionally receive data from our third-party partners and service providers. For example, we will be able to determine how many Users visited a given page on the Website and which links they clicked on. This data is compiled to help us better understand and improve the Website.

Mobile Device Information. If you use a mobile device to access the Website, we may collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model and manufacturer), operating system, version information and IP address.

Information about the device. These include details about your computer or mobile device, such as the hardware and software you’re running (such as your operating system and browser), as well as unique device IDs for devices that use our software.

Web Cookies. Cookies are used to collect information that is stated below and in our Cookie Policy.

Web Cookies.

Web cookies are little text files that web browsers store on your device to offer customized information and remember logins and account preferences. Web Cookies and similar technologies, such as tracking pixels and web beacons, are used by SKRILL & CO. to collect usage and analytic data that helps us provide our Website to you, as well as to deliver ads for relevant Products and services to you when you visit certain pages on the Website and then visit certain third-party sites. Please visit our Cookie Policy for more information on cookies and how SKRILL & CO. utilizes them.

USERS WHO DO NOT WANT WEB COOKIES ON THEIR COMPUTERS SHOULD SET THEIR BROWSERS TO REFUSE WEB COOKIES BEFORE ACCESSING THE WEBSITE, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT SOME WEBSITE FEATURES MAY NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY WITHOUT WEB COOKIES. USERS WHO REFUSE WEB COOKIES ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY AS A RESULT OF THEIR ACTION.

Web Beacons.

A “Web Beacon” is an entity that is normally invisible to the user that allows website managers to verify whether a user has visited a certain web page or email. SKRILL & CO. may use Web Beacons on the Website and in emails to track how many people have visited specific pages, open emails, and utilize co-branded services. Users’ Personally-Identifying Information is not accessed through Web Beacons. They are a method that SKRILL & CO. may employ to gather aggregated data about how people use the Website. Web Beacons only capture a little amount of data, such as the number, time, and date of a page or email viewed, as well as a description of the page or email on which the Web Beacon is located. You can’t turn off Web Beacons. They can, however, be rendered useless by refusing all Web Cookies or changing your browser settings to alert you each time a Web Cookie is offered, allowing you to accept or deny Web Cookies on an individual basis.

Analytics.

We may use third-party vendors, such as Google, to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past activity on the Website, including Google Analytics for Display Advertising, by combining first-party Web Cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party Web Cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie). The data gathered might be used to evaluate and track data, gauge the popularity of specific material, and gain a better understanding of online behavior, among other things. If you do not want your data to be collected and used by Google Analytics, you may install an opt-out in your browser (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/) and/or opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising or the Google Display Network by going to www.google.com/settings/ads. Our Web Cookie Policy has further information about web cookies.

Non-Personally Identifying and Aggregated Data

Under any of the aforementioned conditions, we may disclose aggregated and non-personally identifying information we gather. We may also share it with third parties and associated firms in order to create and deliver targeted advertising on the Website and third-party websites. We may combine Non-Personally Identifying Information that we gather with Non-Personally Identifying Information that we get from other sources. We may also share aggregated data with other parties for the purpose of doing general business research, such as consultants, advertising, and investors. For example, we may inform our advertisers on the number of visitors to the Website and the most frequently used features or services. This information does not contain any Personally-Identifying Information and may be used to produce Website content, Products, and other Services that we anticipate you and other Users will find useful, as well as to target content and advertising to you and other Users.

Additional Terms for Users of Mobile Devices

Geo-Location Information. We do not access or track any location-based information from your mobile device while accessing our Website on your mobile device unless we have your prior consent, except that it may be possible for SKRILL & CO. to determine the geographic location of your point of connectivity from an IP address, in which case we may gather and use such general location data.

Social media. We may provide hyperlinks on the Website that, when clicked, will take you to a social networking site. When you click on a social plug-in, such as Facebook’s “Like” button, Twitter’s “tweet” button, or Google+, the plugin for that social network is active, and your browser connects directly to that provider’s servers. None of your data will be shared to the corresponding social network’s plugin provider if you do not utilize these buttons. When you, for example, click the Facebook “Like” button on the Website, Facebook receives your IP address, browser version and screen resolution, as well as the operating system of the device you used to access the Website. These social networks’ privacy settings may be accessed on their websites or applications, and they are outside our control.
